These complicit readings invite the audience on a journey born of the crossed perspectives of Grégoire, a seminarian of the late 19th century, and of Leïla Sebbar, a writer of Algerian origin.
With modesty and gravity, the two actors Zahïa Bensaïdani and Hervé Marcillat share memories from here and from over there, in a light of exile sometimes veiled with tears but also adorned with the colours of hope. Punctuated by traditional Algerian songs and musical interludes (clarinet and hurdy-gurdy), these readings offer a sensitive journey across both shores of the Mediterranean.
