Children's show about pollution at the poles
KAMIK IPIKTOK, THE YOUNG INUIT

Kamik Ipiktok, the young Inuit

marrionettes, kamik

This humorous and ecological tale tells of KAMIK the little INUIT. Two characters close to clowns discover, with all their naivety, the ice floe and the polar cold. It is a strange world for them, used to the much milder climate of our countries. Once the magic of the first moments has passed, by the glow of an aurora borealis, in the freezing cold, in wind and storm, under a blanket of snow, they discover a little igloo inhabited by a young Inuit, Kamik. Intrigued and curious, they go from discovery to discovery, guided by the young boy: sledge, kayak, walrus, auk, seal and fish inhabit and are part of this unknown world of our two characters. With him, our two characters will discover a world and a singular way of life in an extreme environment.

Kamik Ipiktok (Kamik the Enthusiastic) is alone at home since his father left to work in Nuuk, the capital of Greenland. He has to earn a living, and game and fish are becoming scarce on the ice floe.

Stepping out of his igloo, the child grasps, day after day, the changes taking place on the ice cap. Plastic bags are invading his space. On the ice and in the waters, animals and fish are victims of pollution. Kamik Ipiktok (KAMIK the Enthusiastic), an INUIT child, shows us his daily life and the transformation of his world. He, who produces very little waste, finds himself overrun by ours. In reference to the 7th continent of waste floating in the North Pacific Ocean, in his nightmares Aipalovik (Evil God of the Sea) appears to him in the form of a dragon made of plastic bags and rubbish.
